Applications open for community addictions and mental health grants

Applications are now open for the 2026-27 Community Addictions Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Grant Program.
Health and Community Services Minister Joedy Wall announced the call for applications, which provides funding for projects led by individuals, community groups and non-profit organizations.
The program supports initiatives focused on preventing addictions and promoting positive mental health in communities across Newfoundland and Labrador.
Grants of up to $10,000 are available for projects addressing four priority areas:
Suicide prevention
Life promotion
Prevention of alcohol and other substance-use-related harms
Community partnerships that promote positive mental health and resilience

The deadline to apply is October 24, 2026.
