Another Youth Arrested in Connection with Mount Pearl Attacks
The RNC has arrested a seventh youth believed to be responsible for violent attacks in Mount Pearl.
Last Friday, officers responded to a report of a group of young people assaulting a male in the area of Roosevelt Avenue. Responding officers located an injured male and began to search for the young persons responsible.
A short time later, a report was received that a second attack had occurred on another section of Roosevelt Avenue. Another injured male was located by patrol officers, and it was believed the same group of young people were responsible.
The injured males were taken to hospital to obtain treatment of serious injuries.
The seventh youth arrested faces charges of armed robbery, uttering threats, two counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of assault with a weapon.
Additionally, this accused was charged with assault with a weapon and property damage in connection with an investigation of a disturbance at a restaurant on Commonwealth Avenue that occurred on the evening of November 8.
The accused is held in custody to appear in Provincial Court in relation to the charges.
