Another Phone Scam Making the Rounds

There is another telephone scam making the rounds.

The Department of Health and Community Services says that someone in the Eastern Health region received a call. The caller claimed to be the Chief Medical Officer of Health and asked the individual to confirm their personal information, such as MCP number and mailing address.

Under no circumstances does the Chief Medical Officer of Health make such calls or leave such telephone messages.

Anyone who receives a suspicious telephone call or message should immediately report it to the police.
