Another Day of No New Cases


Once again there are zero new cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador today. This keeps the total number of cases at 258.

Of these cases, 4 are in hospital, 2 of which are in ICU. 225 have recovered. There are 30 active cases.

To date, there have been three deaths.

Regional Breakdown: Eastern Health 240 Central Health 8 Western Health 4 Labrador-Grenfell Health 6 As of May 4th, the only people allowed into NL will be those whose primary place of residence is NL, exempted workers, and people who get an exemption from the chief medical officer.

Premier Ball says every decision made has been in our best interest. Tomorrow information on restrictions will be released.

144 people arrived in NL yesterday via Labrador border, Marine Atlantic, and airports. All were essential.

Minister Haggie says that there are no dark political games happening. The decisions are made by Dr. Fitzgerald, not the government. The loophole for tourists is closed Law enforcement are dealing with issue.
