Another chilly day ahead

Newfoundland and Labrador will experience a predominantly cold and unsettled day this Thursday. While several areas will see intervals of sunshine, sub-zero temperatures are expected to persist for nearly the entire province, making for a brisk day from the Avalon Peninsula to Northern Labrador.
Newfoundland Forecast
On the island, temperatures will hover mostly between -3°C and -7°C. Residents in St. John’s and the surrounding Avalon region should prepare for flurries accompanied by breezy conditions and a high of -4°C. Central Newfoundland, including Gander and Grand Falls-Windsor, will also see a mix of sun and a chance of flurries with a high of -4°C, while Marystown remains slightly milder but overcast at -3°C. Along the west coast, Corner Brook and Channel-Port aux Basques can expect more consistent flurries with temperatures reaching -6°C and -7°C, respectively. St. Anthony stands as the provincial high point today, reaching a relatively mild 1°C.
Labrador Forecast
Conditions across Labrador remain significantly colder, particularly in the west. Labrador City will see the provincial low of -10°C with scattered flurries, while Churchill Falls follows closely at -7°C. Further east and north, Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Nain will see a blend of sun and clouds with highs of -4°C and -6°C.
