The Youth Ambassador program is recruiting 100 Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth from across the country to get involved with the Youth Ambassador Program of the Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund.

The program, which is a part-time, is an online summer program that will help them to become advocates for reconciliation in their schools and communities. Youth will learn about Canada's history of residential schools while gaining real-world work experience, networking, skills, and leadership experience.

Indigenous and non-Indigenous teenagers aged 16 to 25 from all regions of Canada are eligible to participate in the Youth Ambassador program.

Participants will receive an honorarium in appreciation for their time upon completion of the program.

Applications open in March.
