Alberta Woman Ticketed After Collision Near Port aux Basques Ferry Terminal

A 48-year-old Alberta woman was ticketed after a two-vehicle collision near the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal in Channel-Port aux Basques last week.

According to the RCMP, officers responded to a report of the collision shortly before 8 a.m. on July 10. Police attended the scene and determined that one of the drivers involved was operating a vehicle without a valid driver's licence.

The woman was issued a ticket under Newfoundland and Labrador's Highway Traffic Act for driving with an expired licence.

No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
