Active Police incident on Random Island

UPDATE: Residents of Random Island are now free to resume normal activities. At this time, there is no known risk to public safety. A police investigation is continuing. Any sightings of a black BMW car are to be reported to police.
EARLIER STORY: Clarenville RCMP is responding to a report involving a firearm and a vehicle on Random Island. Police are looking for a black BMW.
A road block is in place.
Residents are asked to secure themselves inside their homes at this time.
Bay Roberts RCMP is responding to a report of a black BMW on fire in Mackinsons. It is unknown at this time if the incidents are related.
