Accident on in Mount Pearl snarling traffic

UPDATE: Traffic is now moving smoothly.

The RNC has responded to a Traffic Accident on Pitts Memorial Drive in Mount Pearl.

As a result, the overpass on Pitts Memorial Drive (Cloverleaf) in the westbound lane heading toward CBS and eastbound traffic on the Trans Canada Highway looking to go toward CBS will not be accessible to traffic until further notice.

The RNC advises motorists to use an alternate route during this road closure in order to avoid further traffic disruptions. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
