A two vehicle collision that seen one vehicle catch fire in St. John’s early Wednesday resulted in no reported injuries.

Firefighters were called to Bonaventure Avenue in front of Brother Rice Junior High School just 8:05 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

Before firefighters arrived a light haze could be seen coming from the area. When firefighters arrived on scene a dodge van had caught fire as a result of the collision. Firefighters used a attack line to knock down the blaze.

The school bus involved in the collision suffered minor damage. It is unknown if there were any kids on the bus as the time of the collision.

A portion of Bonaventure Avenue was closed as firefighters put out the blaze. There were no reported injuries as a result of the crash.
