A stormy start to the week

It will be a wet day across the Island portion of the province with heavy rain expected across the Avalon and Burin Peninsula. Rainfall amounts in these areas will be around 15 to 30 mm in total. Elsewhere, lesser amounts are anticipated, about 10 to 20 mm is expected in a line from Burgeo to Bonavista, and 5 to 10 mm for areas north of that.

Winds across the Island will also pose a problem with gusts between 60 and 80 km/h.

Across Labrador, less active weather is expected, we could however see some flurries at times across the Big Land to start your Monday.
