A rainy day ahead for Newfoundland

Friday will bring a mix of sunshine, cloud and showers across Newfoundland and Labrador, with the warmest temperatures expected inland.
In Labrador, Happy Valley-Goose Bay will be the warm spot at 22 degrees, with mostly sunny skies. Nain will reach 19, while Churchill Falls and Labrador City climb to 16. Hopedale will be cooler at 14, with 13 expected in Mary’s Harbour.
Across western and northern Newfoundland, temperatures will range from 15 to 19 degrees. Port Saunders will reach 19, while Gander and Grand Falls-Windsor will see highs of 17 and 18 respectively. Corner Brook and St. Anthony will top out at 15.
The Avalon and Burin peninsulas will be cooler and wetter, with rain and showers possible through the day. St. John’s will reach 17 degrees, while Marystown climbs to 18. Port aux Basques will see a high of 16.
