A Profile on Ches Crosbie #nlpoli

Chesley "Ches" Crosbie is the leader of the Progressive Conservative party and was elected leader on April 28, 2018. He is the MHA for Windsor Lake.

Crosbie is a lawyer by trade.

Born and raised in St. John's, his father John Crosbie was a prominent figure in politics also serving as Lieutenant-Governor of the province.

He was selected as Newfoundland and Labrador's Rhodes Scholar in 1976, studying jurisprudence at Oxford, and continued his legal studies at Dalhousie University.

There he met his future wife, Lois Hoegg, a native of Stellarton, Nova Scotia. She has been a Justice of the Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court since 2007. They have three daughters.

Over the next two days, we will profile each party leader. Tomorrow is NDP leader Alison Coffin.
