A fire overnight destroyed a vehicle and extensively damaged a garage in Paradise

Firefighters from the St. John's Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) were called to a home on Paradise Road in Paradise just after midnight on Friday, for a reported residential structure fire.
Upon arrival, Firefighters were met with heavy smoke billowing into the sky, which was coming from the rear of the home at a garage. The fire, which appeared to be originated from a vehicle, that was parked next the garage, caused significant damage to the garage and completely destroyed the vehicle.
A total of five fire stations responded to the blaze, laying multiple attack lines and setting up a supply line. Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control within thirty-five minutes, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes.
There were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
