Weather to turn unsettled as the day progresses

We're starting the morning cold in Labrador with mostly clear skies. On the Island, it's a bit warmer, and most areas are clear.

Rain is expected later today along the west coast, and winds will gust to 70 in the Port aux Basques area. Rainfall amounts of 2 mm are expected in the Grand Falls-Windsor area. There is a chance of showers in Gander and on the Avalon. Temperatures from 12 to 17 are expected.

In the Labrador City area, about 5 mm of rain is expected today with a risk of flurries this morning. There is a chance of showers in Churchill Falls and Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Along the coast, mainly sunny skies are expected. Temperatures today will range from 4 to 12.
