A collision in St. John’s on Sunday caused significant damage to two vehicles

Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to reports of a traffic accident at the intersection of Blackmarsh Road and Columbus Drive just after 6:15 p.m. on Sunday.

When crews arrived both vehicles had sustained significant damage. One vehicle coming to a stop after colliding with a traffic light pole near Domino's Pizza.

One person was assessed by Newfoundland Health Service Paramedics and later released. Traffic in the area was slowed as emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.
