8 New Cases of COVID-19 Reported Over The Weekend



Newfoundland and Labrador reported eight new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend.


Five new cases were reported on Saturday and there were three new cases on Sunday.


There have been/are 269 cases in Eastern Health, 23 in Central Health, 20 in Western Health and 7 in Labrador-Grenfell Health.


We now have 21 active cases. No one is in hospital due to the virus. Both individuals who were hospitalized have been released this weekend. 294 people have recovered. To date, 58,980 people have been tested.


Premier Furey, Minister of Health and Community Services John Haggie, and Dr. Janice Fitzgerald, Chief Medical Officer of Health will hold a media availability today at 12:30 p.m.
