63 year old male charged with impaired driving in St John's

Shortly after 9:00 a.m. on Monday, Patrol Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver in the west end of St. John’s.


Police arrived in the area and located

the vehicle. As a result of this, A 63 year old male was arrested for impaired driving and was

conveyed back to RNC Headquarters to which the male provided two breath samples which

resulted in a fail. The male was charged with impaired driving and driving while prohibited.


The male was also issued summary offence tickets for open liquor in a motor vehicle and driving

with a suspended driver’s license.


Police impounded the male’s vehicle and conveyed him to city lockup to appear in Provincial Court later that day.
