6 new COVID-19 cases & new cluster identified


Today there are six new confirmed cases of COVID-19.


There is a small cluster in the St. John's area.


All of the new cases are located in the Eastern Health region. Two cases are related to international travel, two cases are related to travel within Canada, and two cases are a close contact of a previously known case.


There is no one in hospital due to COVID-19.


There are currently 12 active cases in the province.


So far, 266,406 tests have been administered.


Public Health is asking anyone who visited the Tim Hortons at 283 Portugal Cove Road in St. John’s on Thursday, August 12 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. to arrange testing.
