54-year-old charged after reported threats, property damage in St. John's

Police charged a 54-year-old man following a report of threats and property damage in the centre city area of St. John's on Thursday afternoon.

RNC officers responded to the complaint at about 3:05 p.m. on Jan. 8, 2026. Police say the man damaged property and uttered threats of bodily harm.

He was charged in connection with the incident and released from custody.

The man is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
