4 New COVID-19 Cases on Thursday



On Thursday there were four new cases of COVID-19. All are located in the Eastern Health region.


The source of the new cases is unknown at this time.


One of the new cases could be connected to a daycare. Parents have been notified.

People who were in various places at various times will need to get tested as contact tracing continues. Dr. Fitzgerald says there could be community transmission.


Dr. Fitzgerald says too early to tell if restrictions will need to be tightened.


The province has nine active cases of COVID-19. 388 people have recovered from the virus.


One person remains in hospital.


To date, 79,067 people have been tested.
