Three sent to hospital after accident in Clarenville

Shortly before 3:00 PM on September 18, 2023, Clarenville Fire Department, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Fewer’s Ambulance Service responded to a report of a two-vehicle MVC on Shoal Harbour Dr and Sunset Dr in the town of Clarenville.

Two SUVs that had collided and three people were taken to the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville with minor injuries.

Among the three people, a youth was also taken to the Hospital with minor injuries. There was minor damage to both SUVs.

Wittnes say the driver of one car was pulling out of Sunset Dr to make a left-hand turn onto Shoal Harbour Dr. not seeing the other car coming down Shoal Harbour Dr and collided.

The road was backed up for a number of minutes as crews worked to clear the accident.
