3 New Cases of COVID-19 Reported on Sunday

There were no COVID-19 updates on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day.

On Sunday three new cases were reported.

Two of the cases are located in the Eastern Health region and one in the Western Health region. Two are travel-related and one is under investigation. The case that is under investigation is located in the Eastern Health region.

Public Health is asking passengers who travelled on Air Canada Flight 7480 from Montreal to St. John’s that arrived on Tuesday, December 22 to call 811 for testing.

Newfoundland and Labrador has 21 active cases of COVID-19. One person is in hospital due to the virus. To date, 71,554 people have been tested.
