3 New Cases of COVID-19 in NL


There are 3 new cases of COVID-19 in the province.

In total there are 247 cases.

There are eight people in the hospital, three of which are in the ICU. Three people have died and so far 159 have recovered.

Regional Breakdown Eastern Health 229 Central Health 8 Western Health 4 Labrador-Grenfell Health 6 5,166 people have been tested. The testing criteria has been expanded to include anyone with symptoms.

Premier Ball says that this virus is a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador, an unwanted resident.


Dr. Susan Brake the senior's advocate will take part in the daily briefing tomorrow.


Minister Haggie says that he has received reports of people camping in gravel pits. This is NOT permitted.

Canada's Chief Public Health Officer Theresa Tam gave an update on COVID-19 cases in Canada, saying there is a reason for "cautious optimism" that the epidemic is slowing down.
