3 Impaired Drivers Removed from Roadways #nltraffic

It was a busy weekend for the RCMP.

Police arrested and charged three people for impaired driving by alcohol.

On Friday a woman was administered a roadside breath test that she failed. This was in Meadows, near Corner Brook.

On February 29, Nain RCMP received a report of a suspected impaired driver on a snowmobile. The 37-year-old man of Nain failed a roadside breath test.

Later that day, at approximately 11:20 p.m., Flower’s Cove RCMP was on patrol in the community of Savage Cove. Police conducted a traffic stop with a pickup truck and suspected the driver, a 72-year-old man of Sandy Cove, was impaired by alcohol.

The three drivers now face charges of impaired driving, licence suspensions and vehicle seizures. They are each set to attend court at a later date.
