3 impaired drivers caught in metro area
On Saturday the RNC arrested three suspected impaired drivers in the metro area.
Early on Saturday officers conducted a traffic stop on Pitt’s Memorial Drive in the area of Mount Pearl. The 81-year-old male failed the roadside screening device and was provided a 7-day driving suspension for impaired driving, the male’s vehicle was impounded.
At 2:25 am, officers responded to a report of an impaired driver in the area of Majors Path. A 41-year-old female was suspected of impaired driving. The female was charged with refusal and her vehicle was impounded. The female is scheduled for a future court date.
Finally at 2:18 am, officers conducted a traffic stop on Pitt’s Memorial Drive in the area of Mount Pearl. The 30-year-old male driver failed the roadside screening device and was provided a 7-day driving suspension for impaired driving, the male’s vehicle was impounded.
