Collision in Lower Island Cove Results in Arrest of Impaired Driver #nltraffic

A 33-year-old man from Old Perlican has been arrested for impaired driving.

On Wednesday evening the RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision in Lower Island Cove.

The driver failed a roadside breath test and was transported to Harbour Grace Detachment where he provided breath samples that were two times the legal limit.

The man's licence was suspended and his vehicle seized and impounded. He has been released from custody and will appear in court at a later date to face charges of impaired driving.
