RCMP Warning People to Stay off the Ice

The RCMP are once again reminding people to stay off the ice after snowmobile tracks were seen crossing the harbour in Mary's Harbour.

At this time of year the ice remains unsafe.

There were three deaths related to travelling on unsafe ice since Christmas Day.

RCMP also say that ice conditions can change rapidly and that no open body of water covered with ice can ever be completely safe.
