Mount Pearl Tables Budget

The City of Mount Pearl has tabled its budget.

The 2020 budget includes $53 million in spending.

Some of the highlights of the budget include:

• No new taxes

• Three new loaders

• Seven plowing and salting trucks

• Sixteen other vehicles

• Using artificial intelligence to predict leaks in pipes

Budget 2020 is balanced with no tax increases to residential or commercial taxpayers.The budget was approved by the city council.
