Corner Brook Pulp & Paper Mill Shut Down for Two Weeks


The Corner Brook Pulp & Paper Mill will be shut down for two weeks over Christmas.

When the mill reopens next month, 22 full-time positions will be eliminated with those 22 employees being moved to the casual pool of employees.

The shutdown begins on December 24th.

Deer Lake Power will continue operations as normal.

Construction of the mill began in 1923 with the first paper produced in 1925.
