Crime Spree Keeps Corner Brook RNC Busy, Officer Injured

It was a busy night for the RNC Corner Brook.

An 18 year old male kept police very busy.

It all started at approximately 9:30 pm when police responded to a report of a male in a back yard of a residence in the East end of Corner Brook who was attempting to steal an ATV.

While investigating the above file, patrol services determined that a residential break and enter had occurred a few houses away. It is anticipated that a charge of break and enter will be laid after further investigation.

Then RNC responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business on Country Road at approximately 10:40 pm. The suspect fled with an unknown quantity of Canadian currency. There were no injuries in the robbery.

A police officer later attempted to arrest the accused in the area of Mayfair Avenue. The accused assaulted the officer, and fled on foot. The officer sustained minor injuries, and was treated and released from the hospital.

The accused was located in the area of Townsite at approximately 2:00 am and was transported to his majesties penitentiary, and will be held for Court the following day.
