Flooding in Corner Brook and Stephenville #nlwx

Heavy rain on the west coast has caused significant flooding in some areas and some roads are closed.

In Corner Brook Union Street is closed to through traffic at the intersection of Union Street and Elizabeth Street due to flooding.

In Stephenville, Massachusetts Drive is closed to through traffic from the intersection of West Street to the intersection of Tennessee Drive effective immediately.

The rain is expected to change to snow later today which will only worsen conditions as most of the water will freeze.
