RNC Officer Hit by Driver #nltraffic

At 9:50 pm on Friday night an RNC officer was hit during Operation Impact.

Police conducted a Roadside Safety Check in the Conception Bay South Area.

During the check a driver fled from the location striking one of the officers.

The male driver was later arrested, detained for court to answer to charges of assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, flight from police, as well as several other offences.

The officer was not seriously injured.
