St. John's wants to be the next city to start taxing Airbnb's.

Mayor Danny Breen said it could equate to another $300,000 for the city per year.

The City would need the province to require Airbnb's to be registered, presently they are not.

The Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation said the government is reviewing the policy.
