All Crew Safe After Fishing Boat Takes on Water

The Coast Guard in St. John's was alerted at 1:27 am Monday morning to the FV Lawn Bay Pride taking on water.

Communications were lost shortly after.

Due to the immediate actions of the fishermen and Search and Rescue personnel, all are safe.

The boat was 44NM south-southeast of St Pierre & Miquelon.

Four fishermen were rescued after abandoning their vessel.

Search and Rescue personnel were lowered to their life raft, hoisted them to safety & transported them to Marystown, NL.
