Pair of Overnight Armed Robberies in Grand Falls-Windsor


Approximately 9:45 p.m. on September 22, 2019, Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP received a report of a lone armed suspect who entered the Kwik Stop Convenience store on Bond Street, Grand Falls-Windsor and demanded money. The suspect was confronted by the store owner, who suffered a minor injury. The suspect fled the scene.

Later the same evening, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP received a second report of a lone armed suspect who entered Bride’s Snack Bar on Lincoln Road in Grand Falls-Windsor and demanded money. The store owner, who was working at the back of the store, approached the suspect and a confrontation ensued. As the suspect was fleeing the area, he was confronted by a customer and the store owner again. The customer received a minor injury as a result of the altercation.

It is unknown at this time if the two events are connected.
