RCMP Removes Two More Impaired Drivers From The Road
On Tuesday, two more daytime impaired drivers were taken off the roadway by RCMP officers in Rocky Harbour and Nain.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., Nain RCMP received a report of a suspected impaired driver. Officers conducted a patrol, located the described vehicle and found that the driver, a 31-year-old man from Nain, was impaired by alcohol. He provided breath samples that were more than the legal limit.
At approximately 1:50 p.m., Rocky Harbour RCMP were advised of a possible impaired driver in Wiltondale. Police patrolled the area and located the described vehicle and driver, a 57-year-old woman from British Columbia. The officer determined that she was impaired by alcohol. She provided breath samples more than four times the legal limit.
Both drivers were issued driver’s licence suspensions and are set to attend court at later dates to face charges of impaired driving.
