RNC Make Arrest in Connection with Break and Enters


The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary have arrested a man following an operation focused on break and enters in the St. John's area.

On Thursday, July 25, at around 7:30 pm, officers attended the home of a 42 year old man of St. John’s, where he was placed under arrest.

This arrest was made in connection with Operation Reprieve, which was engaged in investigating a high volume of residential break and enters in the metro area. These break and enters often occurred while the residents were at home.

The 42 year old man was held to appear in provincial court in relation to charges of break and enter, Trespassing at night, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, trafficking in property obtained by crime, and court order breaches.
