RCMP Charge Man With Impaired Driving in South River
On July 9, 2019, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Bay Roberts RCMP received a tip about a possible impaired driver heading towards South River.
Police responded and located the vehicle. The driver, a 65-year-old man from South River, was arrested for impaired driving. He was taken back to the Detachment where he refused to provide a breath sample.
The man was charged with impaired driving and refusing to comply with a demand for a breath sample. His licence was suspended and vehicle seized.
He was released from custody and will appear in court on September 18, 2019.
