Woman Arrested After Making False Reports to Police

On July 3, 2019 at 12:38 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a complaint after receiving a report that a male had been attempting to injure himself in Corner Brook.

Police were able to locate the male and determined that the complaint was unfounded. At approximately 3:30 p.m. RNC Patrol Services received a complaint from the same caller as the first call reporting that a male was trying to assault her with a weapon. Upon police response, investigation determined that this complaint was unfounded.

The female responsible for both calls to police, a 42 year old female resident of Corner Brook, was arrested and charged with two counts of Public Mischief and two counts of Breach of Undertaking. She remains in custody and will appear in Provincial Court on July 4, 2019.
