Man Charged After Providing False Name to Police

At 8:00 pm on Friday evening RNC responded to a call of a reckless driver in the area of Old Pennywell Road, St. John’s.

When they arrived they located the vehicle in a parking lot with two occupants.

The driver provided a false name to the Police.

When the members investigated further the driver’s proper identification was determined.

He is charged with Obstruction of a Police Officer, Providing false information and issued several Summary Offence Tickets.

He was released to appear in court at a later date.
