Quebec Court Rule in Favor of NL on Churchill Falls

Quebec highest court has ruled that Churchill Falls has the right to sell energy produced from the Upper Churchill above a certain threshold.

At the same time but the Quebec utility retains the right to sell Churchill Falls energy up to a monthly cap.

The decision comes after a decades long battle between Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec.

The Upper Churchill contract remains in place until 2041.
