RCMP have charged a driver examiner with Motor Registration Division in Happy Valley-Goose Bay after allegedly soliciting money from people during the driver examination process.

After a lengthy investigation, 43-year-old Scott Norman faces a charge of breach of trust.

Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP obtained assistance from Labrador Serious Crime Unit and arrested Mr. Norman.

He was released by police with a scheduled court date set for July 29, 2019.

Police believe there are others who may have been victims of this crime and encourage them to come forward and make a report to their local RCMP or RNC detachment.
