Green Evening Open House in Mount Pearl

On Thursday, June 6, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. there will be an open house at Park Place Community Centre, 61 Park Avenue, Mount Pearl.
Attendees can learn more about the following:
Community Gardens– Ideal for those who already have a community garden planting bed, or those interested in starting one, and sharing of advice and experiences.
Conservation Corps of Newfoundland and Labrador (CCNL) – Learn more about the planned work of the Green Team for 2019 in relation to community gardens, as well as the other good work being carried out by CCNL.
Waterford River – View displays and video, and have conversations regarding the history of the Waterford River, its benefits, and current initiatives to protect the river.
Beekeeping – Learn more about beekeeping in Mount Pearl, from personal residential hives to larger operations.
Food First NL – Speak to representatives of Food First NL about what they are doing to actively promote comprehensive, community-based solutions to ensure access to adequate and healthy food for all.
