Two Forest Fires in NL

There were two forest fires on Thursday afternoon.

One in St. Lawrence and the other in Colliers.

Both provincial and local fire crews responded. A water bomber responded to the fire near Colliers.

The fire near Colliers was quickly brought under control.

Two water bombers brought the fire under control in St. Lawrence.

Forest fire season in Newfoundland and Labrador runs from May 1 to September 30. There have already been several fires so far this year.
