Some Forest Access Roads to Close in Labrador

Forest access roads in the following areas of Labrador will be closed to vehicle traffic effective Monday, May 27, and until further notice:

• Grand Lake resource road system at the eight-kilometre mark at the second gate;

• South Branch resource road;

• Goose River resource road; and

• Groves Point Road.

The forest access roads will remain accessible to snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles. The closures are necessary to protect the roads from damage during the spring thaw. For further information, please call the Forestry and Wildlife district office in North West River at 709-497-8479.
