The Moon is Shrinking

The Moon is quite an active place it appears.

The Moon is shrinking accord to a NASA team of researchers.

Between 1969 and 1977 there have been 28 moonquakes recorded.

At least eight of those are thrust faults that are formed from the shrinking Moon.

Since it is shrinking it is creating wrinkles in the crust.

The Moon is 50 meters smaller today than it was in the 1970s.

Our Moon is the fifth-largest natural satellite in the Solar System and the largest among planetary satellites relative to the size of the planet that it orbits.
