Man Arrested After Trying to Use Counterfeit Currency

RNC received a report that a male attempted to make a purchase with counterfeit currency at a restaurant located in the centre City area of St. John’s.

As a result of the Police investigation the 39 year old male suspect was located and arrested.

He was charged with possession of counterfeit money, uttering counterfeit money and failing to comply with a Court order.

He was taken to St. John’s City Lock-up to appear in Court.
