RNC Investigating Fire at Apartment Complex in Corner Brook

The RNC are investigating a residential fire which occurred in an apartment building on the west side of the city.

At approximately 4:50 a.m. RNC, along with the Corner Brook Fire Department, responded to a fire at an apartment complex on Beothuk Crescent.

A 41 year old male resident sustained what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Western Memorial Regional Hospital by paramedics from Western Health.

The building was evacuated and displaced residents were provided emergency lodging at Westside Tabernacle with assistance from the Canadian Red Cross.

As a result of the ongoing investigation Elizabeth Street is closed from the intersection of Grenfell Drive to Charles Street and the public is asked to use alternative routes.
