Rain and Gusty Wind in NL on Sunday and Monday #nlwx

Soaking rains that are continuing in Quebec, will eventually make its way Newfoundland and Labrador, to a much lesser extent.

In Newfoundland western and southern sections will see 5 to 10 mm, just 2 to 5 mm is expected elsewhere. Rain will begin Sunday afternoon.

There is a Wreckhouse wind warning in effect for Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity. Strong southeasterly winds with gusts to 80 km/h will develop this afternoon before further strengthening with gusts to 120 km/h this evening. Winds will diminish below warning criteria early Sunday morning.

In Labrador 10 to 20 mm is expected for western sections, with lesser amounts along the coast.
